Smooth Jazz Classics is almost done!

Just a quick CD update and a big Happy 2008 to you-all!!

Smooth Jazz Classics is almost done tracking. I have to redo the lead sax tomorrow and we have 2 trumpets, trombone and B3 to track the first of next week; then everything will be at the mixing guys studio. This is the last track and this is a really nice project (if I'm aloud to say so...)

I have some great players coming in in the next few days. Les Benedict is going to play trombone. Les has been around for a while now and goes back to the Sinatra Band. He is a great player and will be the perfect fit for this track. On trumpet, I called a "great" and await his return call (name to be mentioned once I hear from him). I also have my producer Tony Guerrero playing 2nd trumpet on this track as well as one of my favorite B3 guys in the world, Rob Whitlock. Rob will get a little of this one and always shines! The brass tracks were uploaded today and Tony really liked the parts and playing.

All the other tracks are mixed with a few minor tweaks to be made next week, and then off to mastering to finish this baby!

I am going for broke on this one and can't wait to get it out there for you-all to enjoy! I have been working, every spare minute, on this for a few months now and it is a serious labor of love from both Tony and I.

Stay tuned for an actual release date, TBA soon; and be blessed in 2008!
