Long day online updating sites

Some days we spend playing music, some days it is bookkeeping or errands, and then days like today - it's all about cleaning up messes online. I have taken on a huge job that no one made me do. I have a lot of web sites, socials and I do my best to stay up on them all, but often fail miserably.

Today I started with cleaning up my files for HTML and URL lists for all those sites. It is a list of 56 URLs / Sites that I am supposed to be responsible with while maintaining life balance and a musical life.

I got the list updated and cleaned up. I then updated the Alto Sax Site and Tenor Sax Site. I got into the server and started cleaning up email which has been sitting forever. I cleaned the Saxophone.US site box and the AltoSaxophone,US box; adding sax players to the Alto Sax List, responding when needed and starting a new file for adding Q&A answers from the questions asked.

I also logged into the Christmas Sax page on MySpace and added pics. I did the same on my Face Book, adding some pics to my music gallery from NAMM.

I did start a to do list for little things I saw as I went thru sites and pages I have not looked at in a while. Changed many links on the Alto Site tonight to better pages to click thru on. I had started working on the Alto and Tenor sites because traffic was off and those sites have been steady out performers over my personal GregVail.com site for a few years now.

This is the stuff I do that some argue with me over. They think I try and do tooooo much and take on the world, and should really just play my sax and relax. I am not going to argue right now because I am really tired and have more to do than I could imagine after looking at all this stuff.

BUT - I seem to like it and seem to like getting those occasional emails from people so glad they found so many helpful answers, all neat and explained!

Off to bed for now. I have to start getting ready for a Friday night gig's music that I am not ready for and a CD Release at the end of the month of all original stuff I HAVE TO work on. Then of course - I am leaving for DC Saturday really early for a few days in the COLD. Yes for work.... Would not go out there for fun this time of year!

Be safe and know you are blessed! I know I am!
